Wrong. Gobshite. Early ones had 96, later ones are based on crippled 9600gt's and have 48.

All XFX 9600 GSO 768MB cards are 96 SP today. Go check their website for yourself Mr Know-It-All.
The ones that have 96 cores are those with 384MB... sort of a G92 inclomplete (some disabled cores)
Yeah, my XFX 9600GSO XXX has 96 shaders. And overclocked it kicks the shite out of a 9600GT (which I also happen to own).
