Hong Kong Trip 2008 Part1

This is my "extra leg room seat" which would normally cost you an extra S$25 if I remember correctly...






my first meal in HK -- shark fin soup!







& had some not-so-delicious fried tofu while Bolt broke the Men's 100m sprint world record...






Hotel room was spacious, except that there are no windows...







Changed room on the second day, spent the whole day watching Olympics...







LOL @ the bar's name...







World class beef noodle @ the most un-obvious store...






3/10 of the world's tallest towers are in Hong Kong,

they don't really look tall until you get real close...







Mountain top cable car, the last time I rode this was like 12-years ago with the scouts...







Another great thing about HK is that you can make almost all sorts of payments using Octopus (SG's ezlink): train, bus, mini-bus, cable-car, fastfood, vending machine, bookstore, watson, 7-11, supermarket & even wet market!

SINGAPORE WINS AN OLYMPIC MEDAL!!!

Singapore beats Korea by 3-2 in Table Tennis Woman's Team category!! A second Olympics medal waiting to be collected in Singapore's history. What a moment, the last time Singapore won a medal was 48-years ago! Well done Singapore!!!

In my opinion, Hong Kong & Singapore are no match for China. So the medal standing will be simple: China (gold), Singapore (silver), Korea (bronze)
