Test Results:



In 3DMark06, the 9800GX2 is 9.55% faster than the HD 3870X2.





With AA and AF switched on, 9800GX2's lead increased to 17.4%.






The Call of Juarez benchmark was run at 1920x1200.




Although the 9800 GX2 is 1 fps faster than the AMD, but it was unable to run the benchmark with 4xAA turn on. It happened at the moment the benchmark begins, it bounced right back into desktop. Therefore, the score is recorded as zero.






Crysis benchmark also ran at 1920x1200, with every setting at "High"





Without AA, the "Meant To Be Played" game was as much as 70% faster with the GX2. It's a completely different story when 4xAA is enabled.





World in Conflict settings.




Again, when AA is turned on for the GeForce 9800 GX2, an error message appears. Thus the score is recorded as zero.





Company of Heroes with DirectX 10 shaders, everything else at "High".





On average, 9800GX2 is 38.3% ahead of the HD 3870X2.

  1. it seems that even though the g9800gx2 had more power it just doesn't have the drivers to back it up. For stability sake i'd go with the 3870x2 but once the 9800gx2 has proper driver I believe that it will take first place in both power and stability
